The Barbara Jordan Institute is a tribute to one of our nation’s most popular 20th century female leaders. It is the voice that speaks for the common good. It focuses on circumstances that impact underserved and underrepresented communities. The Institute serves as a constant reminder of the pursuit for civil justice, social equity, racial equality, and ethical behavior.

The Barbara Jordan Institute has assembled a dedicated group of researchers to collaborate on grants and investigate projects.  The Barbara Jordan Scholars are dedicated to advancing the mission of the Barbara Jordan Institute for Policy Research.   The goal is to develop the Barbara Jordan Institute for Policy Research into a premier research center.  The BJI Scholars are available to comment and discuss issues in their respective areas of expertise with the media.                                                            Dr. Byron E.
