Housing Procedures
How to Apply for the Residence Halls
Step I. Selection of Residential Community: (review campus housing link for Room Rates)

Step II. Complete and Sign the Mandatory Housing Assignment Form
Step III. Complete and Sign Residential Application
A. Enclose a money order or cashier’s check
1. Residence Hall, University Courtyard/Tierwester Oaks, and Savoy Apartments
$350.00 ($100.00 refundable security deposit and $250.00 non-refundable
application fee/reservation/background check fee) Click here.
2. Greystone Apartments
$300.00 ($225.00 refundable security deposit and $75.00 application/
processing/background check fee) Click here.
Financial aid is not a form of payment for the deposit or application fee.
All students must pay deposit and application fee out of pocket.
B. Attach a copy of immunization records (shot records)
C. Attach a copy of physical exam records (exam must be within one year to date).
Health form.
If application is taken off line the promissory note will be sent to
student by mail once application is received in the housing office.
Step IV. Background Checks
A. All students must pass a background check in order to reside in the residence halls.
Step V. Complete and Sign a Residential Lease Contract
A. Residential Lease Contract and Promissory Note will be mailed when all required
documents and fees are received.
B. The first month payment must be submitted with the Residential Lease Contract.
Step VI. First Housing Payment and Financial Aid
A. All students must submit documentation of financial aid award prior to August 1, 2009.
If financial aid pays for tuition and housing then a waiver of the first payment maybe
granted. NO waivers will be granted after August 1, 2009.
B. If not then the students must enclose a money order or cashier’s check for
the first month payment with the signed lease contract and signed promissory note.
Step VII. Confirmation Letters
A. A confirmation letter is mailed to each student when a signed lease contract, signed
promissory note and first payment are received.
B. The Confirmation letter informs students of the move-in date and the
residential location to which he or she is assigned.
All housing reservation will be considered as “First Come First Serve” basis. Your application is not considered complete until all required documentation and payments are received. To assit you in your housing registration please click here for a courtesy check list.
