Masters of Management Information Systems (MIS) Degree
The Business Administration Department offers an undergraduateand master’sdegree in Management Information Systems (MIS). The MIS degrees focus on the use of information technologies in businesses and organizations. New graduates of the MIS degree can expect to work as systems analyst, application developers database manager, database administrator, web designer, or IT helpdesk support personnel.
During the course of their study, students take courses in computer programming, database management, data communications, electronic commerce, enterprise systems and project management that equip them with the knowledge to manage the development and use of information technology in organizations.As a graduate of one of our MIS degree programs you can start a challenging IT career with an average salary starting at $45,000 according to a 2008 salary survey by CIO magazine.
Accreditation
The Jesse H. Jones School of Business currently has both Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditations. The faculty members in other areas who will teach in this program are already academically qualified in their respective areas.
