Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at Texas Southern University seeks to fulfill two primary missions. They are charged to prepare students for professional careers in chemistry and eventually, graduate study. The Department also is organized to give students, who are majoring in related fields, an understanding of fundamental techniques that will permit them to be successful in their chosen major. Each track is a composite program of study, and neither requires the declaration of an official minor in another academic discipline.
