Corporate Treasury Management (CTM®) Program
In fall 2004, JHJ School of Business at Texas Southern University is approved by the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) to offer the Corporate Treasury Management Program (CTM). TSU joined other schools from across the country that are participating in this exclusive program to help students get an early start on their careers.
The CTM Program is designed to complement existing courses in finance and accounting, with a specific focus on treasury. This program is designed to introduce students to the many career options in the finance profession, including cash and treasury management and to provide the participants with a competitive edge over other graduating business students. It also provides students with the analytical expertise and practical knowledge necessary to excel in finance professions.
The program is based on the FIN 303 (Treasury Management) course. The students that successfully complete this course with a grade of “B” or higher, satisfy the eligibility criteria to sit for the CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) exam towards earning their Certified Treasury Professional Associate (CTPA) credential. Students with their CTPA credential are eligible to earn the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation after two years of full-time finance-related work experience. A CTPA Candidate Information Bulletin is available for download to obtain more information on the CTM program.
Interested students should contact Dr. Amitava Chatterjee, JHJ School of Business, Room 325, (713) 313-7713, chatte_aa@tsu.edu.
