Rochelle Parks-Yancy, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Texas Southern University. She earned her PhD in Organization Management from Rutgers University. Her teaching expertise is in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior.

Dr. Parks-Yancy’s research examines social capital and its relationship to the careers of diverse social groups. Her work appears in the Annual Review of Sociology, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Sociological Spectrum, Sociological Imagination, Management Communication Quarterly, Michigan Sociological Review, Journal of Family and Economic Issues, and in Research in the Sociology of Work: Diversity in the Workforce.

Dr. Parks-Yancy has won a Best Paper Award from the Careers Division of the Academy of Management and has presented numerous papers at the Academy of Management and American Sociological Association meetings. She also has been awarded research grants from the National Science Foundation/American Sociological Association and Texas Southern University.
