When & How can I change my password?

Users can manually change passwords at anytime from their own computer. Changing passwords varies from one operating system to another. Listed below are the directions for each operating system being supported by TMSL. To determine which operating system you are running, right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and left click on the properties option. The main property screen will show that you have Windows 95, 98, 2000, or XP.

Windows XP

While logged into the system, press the ctrl+alt+delete buttons to pull up the windows security box.
Select the change password option.
Enter your old password.
Enter your new password.
Confirm your new password. (enter the new password again).
Select OK. You will be notified your password has changed.

Windows 2000

While logged into the system, press the ctrl+alt+delete buttons to pull up the windows security box.
Select the change password option.
Enter your old password.
Enter your new password.
Confirm your new password. (enter the new password again).
Select OK. You will be notified your password has changed.

You will be notified your password has been changed. The next time you log onto that machine you may be asked to update your windows password. Enter your new password when asked and the change will be made. We have noticed some problems while changing passwords on Windows 95 and 98.
