FAQ’S
1. What are “Club Sports”?
Club Sports are student ran organizations in which students voluntarily organize for the purpose of furthering their common interest in an activity, through participation and competition.
2. How much does it cost to join or to start a club?
There is no cost to start or join a club. However the individual club may charge its members a one time fee for “Membership Dues.”
3. What do you need to start a club?
You will need (4) four members, (2) two advisors, (2) two forms of I.D., medical insurance, and a current/active semester schedule.
4. What is the difference between Club Sports and Intramural Sports?
Club Sports teams are students organized, responsible for there own expenses and generally compete off campus against other colleges and universities. Intramurals Sports participate in leagues set up through the Intramural Sports Department, pay a one time fee and compete against other TSU students.
5. Where is the Club Sports Office and who do I speak to?
The Club Sports office is located in Room 132 of the Recreation and Wellness Center. You may speak to Jeremy Lewis, Club Sports Coordinator or Brandi McNeely, Club Sports Assistant Manager.
6. How much commitment is required to join a club?
The level of commitment varies from club to club. The club officers will determine your commitment based on schedules and practices.
7. How do I contact a particular club?
