PERSONAL TRAINING

 

Interested in becoming a personal trainer for the TSU Rec Center?

 

Personal training certification courses are offered annually through the Personal Training Institute.  Upon completion, the graduate’s certification may be used anywhere in the nation.  For more information contact Stevy Hooper at 713.313.4284

 

 

Terrence Adams, originally from Tyler, Texas, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin.  He currently serves as the Member Services Manager at the Recreation & Wellness Center.  In addition to personal training, Terrence teaches a number of fitness classes at the Center.

 

 

 

Aaron Hawkins, 25, is from Houston, TX.  He is a sophomore majoring in Human Performance whose goal as a personal trainer at TSU is “to help the person I am training meet their fitness goals.”  His certifications include Personal Training from Memorial Herman, First Aid, and CPR.

 

 

 

Fred Hodge has been the Rec Center’s Director of Fitness for two years.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Houston.  Originally from Austin, Texas, Fred is a certified fitness instructor and has previous fitness/wellness experience from Memorial Herman Wellness Center.

 

 

 

Lisley Leal is senior majoring in Kinesiology here at Texas Southern University.  “To provide the best training possible to students and non-students,”  is Lisley’s philosophy when it comes to personal training.  Born and raised in Houston, TX, this 22 year-old received her certification through Memorial Herman Personal Training Institute.

 

 

 

Iisha Voltz hails from Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  This 23 year-old senior plans to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Performance.  She received her personal training certification through Memorial Herman Personal Training Institute.  “My objective as a personal trainer at TSU is to help others achieve their goals of personal health and satisfaction,” says Iisha.
