
Office of the Attorney General
The Office of the Attorney General is headed by the
Attorney General and composed of the Attorney General, along
with the Deputy Attorney General and any judicial aides.
The Office is vested with the authority to enforce the SGA
Constitution and Internal Rules of Procedure, and operates
much like the U.S. Department of Justice. Student
officials and members of the student body may contact the
Office of the Attorney General regarding student code
complaints, matters needing investigation, and any clarity
needed regarding all governing documents of the SGA and
student organizations.
Student Court
The Student Court is headed by the Chief Justice and
is composed of the Chief Justice, Six Associate Justices, a
Court Clerk, along with two Student Defenders. The
Student Court is vested with the sole authority to interpret
the SGA Constitution and any governing documents of SGA and
those of student organizations, and operates much like the
U.S. Supreme Court. The Student Court is the second
highest judicial body thereof on the campus of Texas Southern
University.
