Judicial Branch

Office of the Attorney General

The Office of the Attorney General is headed by the Attorney General and composed of the Attorney General, along with the Deputy Attorney General and any judicial aides.  The Office is vested with the authority to enforce the SGA Constitution and Internal Rules of Procedure, and operates much like the U.S. Department of Justice.  Student officials and members of the student body may contact the Office of the Attorney General regarding student code complaints, matters needing investigation, and any clarity needed regarding all governing documents of the SGA and student organizations.

Student Court

The Student Court is headed by the Chief Justice and is composed of the Chief Justice, Six Associate Justices, a Court Clerk, along with two Student Defenders.  The Student Court is vested with the sole authority to interpret the SGA Constitution and any governing documents of SGA and those of student organizations, and operates much like the U.S. Supreme Court.  The Student Court is the second highest judicial body thereof on the campus of Texas Southern University.
