Talent Search is a federally funded “TRIO” program, which identifies disadvantaged youth with potential for education at the post-secondary level and encourage them to complete secondary school and undertake a program of post-secondary education.
Talent Search publicizes the availability of student financial assistance for persons who seek to pursue post-secondary education. In addition, Talent Search encourages persons who have not completed an educational program at the secondary or post-secondary level to re-enter and matriculate through these programs. Participants must be between the ages of 11 and 27 and have completed sixth grade. Two-thirds of the participants must be low income and first generation college bound students. |
