Division of Research & Innovation (DRI)

The DRI supports faculty, staff, and students throughout every phase of research from identifying funding to proposal submission, compliance, and post-award administration.

The Research Funding & Pre-Award Services team helps with identifying opportunities, interpreting funder guidelines, drafting competitive applications, preparing budgets, submitting proposals via Cayuse, and ensuring institutional compliance.

The Research Finance & Compliance Services office handles all post-award administration including financial reporting, contract oversight, and ensuring compliance with federal and institutional policies. 

TOPAZ is a secure online system for creating, submitting, and tracking research protocols (IRB/IACUC). TSU students, faculty, and staff can request access, and training videos are available for new and returning users.

Research Enhancement & Compliance Services (RECS) provides guidance on regulatory compliance, intellectual property, lab safety, time and effort reporting, and delivers training workshops and seed-funding programs.

The Electronic handbook is a centralized hub of resources for researchers, including links to systems like Cayuse and TOPAZ, compliance tools, guidelines, forms, and updates that support the full research lifecycle.
