Campus Closure Notification Due to Inclement Weather

Dear TSU Community,

Due to current arctic blast that has created hazardous conditions throughout the Houston region, Texas Southern University will be closed, and classes in all schools and colleges will be canceled on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

Your safety is a top priority.

Sterling Cafeteria will be open for brunch from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and for dinner from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

TSU encourages all community members to stay safe by staying indoors, avoiding travel, dressing warmly, and checking on vulnerable individuals during the expected cold weather.

The Department of Public Safety is on high alert, monitoring the changing weather conditions in Houston and beyond. In the event of an emergency on campus, please call 713-313-7000 or 713-313- 7001.
