• Minimum GPA: 2.5

• Minimum ACT Score: 17

• Minimum SAT Score: 900

Yes. The application fee is $42.00 and is payable to the Texas Southern University Office of Admissions.

If you are interested in receiving a band scholarship, we encourage you to audition as early as possible. Scholarship funding is limited, and award amounts may vary based on qualifications, audition performance, and the availability of funds.

Qualified students who audition early may have greater access to available scholarship opportunities.

To request a performance by the Ocean of Soul Marching Band, please contact our team at oceanofsoul@tsu.edu.

For non-university events, performance arrangements typically include transportation, meals, and an honorarium.

Yes. We encourage you to contact the Texas Southern University Office of Admissions to learn about available programs and alternative admission pathways, including summer programs that may assist students with gaining admission to the University.

Yes. All new students who plan to live on campus must complete a separate housing application.

You must be accepted to Texas Southern University before applying for housing for the Fall or Spring semester. Your TSU student identification number (T-Number) will be required to complete the online housing application.

A housing deposit is also required when submitting your application.
