Strategies

  • P-5a: Tier 1 Faculty and Enrollment and Completion Advisors will establish a collaborative partnership to prepare for implementation of the “First Year Common Read” (Note: The common read activity focuses on enhancing students' critical thinking skills, introducing students to healthy debate and inquiry, and encouraging students to interact with faculty.)
  • P-5b: Monitor the student’s performance on activities.

Measures

  1. Identification of Tier 1 faculty (list of faculty and selection process)
  2. Implementation of Common Read and Pre-Assessment baseline (critical reflection of baseline assessment “how is the baseline used to provide enhancements to students”, critical reflection of the assignment and critical reflection event)
  3. Number of discussion sessions (calendar of events for sessions/topics)
  4. Number of students participating in study sessions (T-CLAW attendance report)

This structured approach ensures that students are equipped with the necessary skills to enhance their problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, promoting academic success and intellectual growth.
