The Jump Start Program provides admitted freshmen with an early start in earning college credits and receiving academic support before the start off the fall semester. 

The SOS Program is a conditional admission program that provides students with a unique opportunity to gain full admission to the University. 

Both programs are five-week residential programs designed to introduce students to campus resources, academic success tips, and student support services. Participants will get a head start on building friendships and feeling confident about your first semester, while earning six (6) college credits during the summer. 

Spaces are limited for both programs. 

Jump Start and SOS Program Steps

  1. Submit program interest form by Friday, May 30, 2025 (see email from SOS Program).
  2. Pay program fee and/or complete 2024-25 FAFSA at  www.studentaid.gov. This is a different FAFSA year from the 2025-26 FAFSA that you may have already completed.
  3. Submit meningitis vaccination record by Friday, May 30, 2025.
  4. Attend virtual SOS Program Orientation – Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
  5. Campus housing move-in - Sunday, June 29, 2025. 
  6. Begin program on Monday - Monday, June 30, 2025.
