Curriculum Vitae

Gautam Nayer Ph.D is an Associate Professor in the Administration of Justice Department in the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs at Texas Southern University. He received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University where his dissertation topic was : Prisoner Reentry Programs and the New Public Management: Case studies in faith and Non-faith based reentry programs. Some of Dr. Nayer other areas of interest include: E-governance, IT Shared Services, Prisoner/Jail Reentry Programs, DWI Courts and Issues in Policing and Law Enforcement.

Most recently, Dr. Nayer has had papers presented at the American Society of Criminology Conference; Race, Gender and Class Conference and the Sixth Annual International Conference on E- Government in New Delhi, India.

His assets to Texas Southern University have run the gamut. He is currently serving as the Faculty Adviser for both Alpha Phi Sigma (National Criminal Justice Honor Society) and the Administration of Justice Club. He is also a member of the BJML Standing Committee, Buildings and Facility Committee, Student Affairs, Academic Grievance and the Texas Southern University Library Committee.
