Annual HB 1735 Trauma Informed Training 

Texas Southern University Department of Public Safety (TSU DPS) employs ~ forty (40) sworn peace officers. Sworn peace officers working in Higher Education or assigned to work at college campuses are required to complete Trauma Informed Training annually. TSU DPS maintains annual training records for the Trauma Informed training of all sworn peace officers in compliance with Texas House Bill 1735.

TSU DPS sworn peace officers complete their Trauma Informed training with State of Texas authorized training facilities and agencies annually every calendar year between January 1st to December 31st. TSU DPS Chief of Police provides annual notification to the Title IX Coordinator confirming when all sworn peace officers have completed the Trauma Informed training.
