Texas Southern University (TSU) welcomes transfer students from diverse backgrounds, providing a smooth admission process to help you transition seamlessly. Step 1 -  Complete Application for Admission online at https://applytexas.org


 


Step 2 -  Submit $42.00 non-refundable application fee, or approved fee waiver request - PAY APPLICATION FEE ONLINE
 Applications will not be processed without the required application fee or approved fee waiver.


 


Step 3 -  Review the university's transfer admission requrements: 

  • Minimum 15 college-level transfer credits and
  • Overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.


 


Step 4 -  If you will have fewer than 15 transfer credit hours at the time of applying, with a minimum 2.0 GPA, you must meet the university's freshman admission requirements.  This option is only available for students who graduated from high school within the past calendar year before applying for transfer admission.  Please request to have your official high school transcript and ACT or SAT score(s) sent to the Texas Southern University Office of Undergraduate Admissions.  


 


Step 5 -  Request official transcripts from each institution previously attended. Transcripts may be submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions through two options: (1) electronically through an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) system, e.g. Speede/TRex, Parchment/Naviance, National Student Clearinghouse and Greenlight, or (2) by mail to:
